Settling Into My New Schedule
As most of you reading my blog will know, I'm working on a new schedule that is focused on shorter pieces. So far it's all working out, but it is early days. In the past few months, I've posted and published the following:
13 blog entries (including this).
2 Dragon Tide instalments (with 2 more written and uploaded as pre-orders).
4 Patreon entries for people who want to follow regular (weekly) instalments as we jog through the timeline over the next two years.
I've also done some work on USV#4 Odin's Hall, USV#5 Markland Flame and Ossard#7: Three Fates Red as well as White#1.
That last line above, with 3 novels mentioned, is something that is happening. USV#4 and USV#5 I want to get out out soon. I'm also keen to wrap up Ossard, but as it's the last book in the series, I also need to read through the whole thing and make sure I've tied off what needs to be finalised. Doing some work on White#1 was just to see how close it is to publication, and the answer is pretty. While it is not as high a priority as USV or wrapping up Ossard, I do want to get some Red, White & Blue out there, too.
Part of sticking to the schedule is not just churning out words, but having ready things for publication well ahead of time so they can be loaded and left to go. I'm trying to build up from a few months worth of blogs and Patreon articles to 6 months worth. That also means if life gets in the way, like we go on a planned White Christmas holiday, that such a thing can happen without putting the schedule (and me) under a pile of pressure.
Stay tuned here for more updates, or follow Patreon for regular instalments of USV alternate history.
